Does anyone know if there is a workshop manual for a 1997 NK series GLS LWB Pajero? I see Haynes manuals for series up to NJ 1983-1996 and then it jumps to 1997 - 2009 models which start at NL series. I bought the vehicel new and the owners manual, rego, compliance plate and all the paperwork I have clearly says it's a 1997 NK model. I can find literally no references to an NK series - other than I have one in my garage. Maybe it was the model that had all the 'extras' fitted as standard that I mention below? My NK series is a top of range 3.5 Litre Petrol GLS LWB fitted standard with rear and centre diff locks and variable suspension - all toggle switch operated from the dash/centre console. It is a great wagon (bit fuel hungry) and needs some work done to get it back to scratch.
By the Haynes book cover picture, I am surmising that the 1983-1996 NJ manual may be the right manual but don't want to buy if it doesn't have details covering this illusive NK model. Appreciate any info anyone can give me.
There is no manual that I know of that covers the 3.5l dohc versions, the gregorys quoted covers the 3l and the diesel but not the 3.5l dohc, the haynes covers the later model sohc motor. Max Ellery was in the middle of doing one when he sold his business so it was never completed. ( max used to be a customer of mine and I was pushing him to do the manual for my own NJ as i couldn't find a simple manual. You can get an engine manual only from various places on the net and the haynes and gregorys manuals are pretty close in regards to everything else except the engine. The manual i just posted covers the 3.5 DOHC, 3ltr sohc, 4cyl petrol and 2.5+2.8 diesel, the next one up(NL version) covers SOHC for the 3.5.
